About Us
We are situated in the village of Kellington in the southernmost part of the county of North Yorkshire, some seven miles to the south of the market town of Selby. The area is mainly rural and our children come from Kellington, as well as the surrounding villages of Eggborough, Beal and Birkin. We also welcome families from further afield including Knottingley and Brayton.
The school is a modern styled building on one level, with wheelchair access, and has been open since 1979. The school comprises of an entrance hall, library, five classrooms, main hall, meeting room, staffroom and kitchen.
Our vision and values statement was reviewed by the school stakeholders, including School Council, parents, governors and staff, in July 2017 and agreed as:
Our School - Our Future
Working together as the Kellington family, we aim to equip our children with the skills to become happy, caring and responsible citizens in an ever-changing world. Our safe, stimulating and supportive environment enables children to reach their full potential, through rich, varied and memorable experiences, both in school and beyond.
The values of respect, honesty, tolerance, confidence and resilience are promoted in everything we do.
