At Kellington Primary School, we ensure that our children have valuable enrichment opportunities which supports their social and emotional development alongside broadening their experiential exposure.

Our pupils thoroughly enjoy their termly Forest School learning in our Discovery Zone with our external provider Siobhan who leads the Forest School sessions,  she is also a licenced Thrive practitioner. The children engage in progressive sessions which develop skills such as whittling wood, fire safety, cookery and teamwork. From these sessions, our pupils are nurtured to develop considered risk taking, build resilience and understand each others’ strengths. 

Following a hugely positive review from our children, we also now provide a Forest School after school club where children can continue to access our Discovery Zone and enjoy their Forest School experience.
